Immigration Reform – 2013 will be a very busy year in immigration law. Already, USCIS has announced on January 3, 2013 that the provisional waiver will begin on March 4, 2013. There are plans for immigration reform from the President and prominent Senate leaders. According to the Los Angeles Times, President Obama will mention immigration reform as part of his inaugural speech and will push for immigration reform as a focus of his second term in office. Several prominent Senate leaders have already met to discuss how to proceed with immigration reform, and the Wall Street Journal today reported that Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio already has his own proposal for immigration reform and plan to introduce in Congress.
