What is next? – This is a question that I have pondered for the past few weeks after the President’s State of the Union address on January 28, 2014. In his speech to the nation, President Obama did mention the need for immigration reform (about 121 words), and the Republican response delivered by Representative Cathy Rogers from the state of Washington agreed with the need for immigration reform. Two days later, the Republican Party in the House of Representative released a one page outline for the standard of immigration reform for which it should take place in the House of Representative. The House Republican outright rejected to go into committee with the Senate Bill SB 744 but would be receptive to immigration reform with its own standard. I was hopeful that we might possibly have a small opening for immigration legislation to pass. However, the hope quickly vanished on February 6, 2014 when House Speaker John Boehner told reporters that there is a distrust at the White House administration for the administering and enforcement of immigration law, and it would not be possible for immigration reform to take place.

So, what is next just in case you might ask.
