Immigration Alert – June 27, 2013
SENATE PASSED IMMIGRATION BILL – On June 27th, 2013, the Senate voted 68 to 32 to pass SB 744, Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act. For the first time since 1986, the Senate gave final approval to a bill that promises to overhaul immigration laws. Now the House of Representatives will consider its own legislation for immigration reform. This is only a Bill that must pass through Congress and be signed into effect by the President before it becomes a law.
