Injunction on DAPA – Yesterday, February 16, 2015, Texas Federal Judge Andrew Hanen, from the US District Court in Brownsville, Texas, granted a temporary injunction against the implementation of President Obama’s Deferred Action for Parents of Citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) and the expansion of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) programs.
The Judge granted the temporary injunction after twenty-six states, including Texas, and their representatives sought injunctive relief against the United States and the Department of Homeland Security to prevent the implementation of the DAPA and DACA programs.
