Within a few weeks, we will be learning the fate of President’s Barrack Obama 2014 executive orders. The 2014 executive orders expanded the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) and provided temporary protected status with work authorization for parents of U.S. citizen/ lawful permanent resident children, Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DAPA). In addition, the executive orders direct The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to finds its way to modernize and streamline the current immigration system.

DHS Appropriations Act 2015

Chúng ta bắt đầu năm mới với việc Đảng Cộng Hòa kiểm soát cả Thượng Viện và Hạ Viện. Vào ngày 14 tháng 1 năm 2015, Hạ Viện của Đảng Cộng Hòa đã bỏ lá phiếu đầu tiên cho vấn đề di trú đưa ra từ năm ngoái. Cuộc bỏ phiếu này liên quan đến việc thông qua ngân sách cho Bộ Nội An (DHS). DHS Appropriations Act 2015
Happy New Year! We want to provide you an update status on the future of the President’s executive orders that were announced on November 20, 2014.
We begin a new year with a Republican controlled House of Congress and Senate. On January 14, 2015, the new Republican House of Congress made the first immigration related vote which was deferred from the previous year. This vote was for the funding of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS is comprised of 22 agencies such as the Secret Service, the Transportation Security Administration, the Coast Guards, and all 3 immigration related agencies: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), Immigration and Custom Enforcement agency (ICE), and Custom and Border Protection agency (CBP). DHS’ funding will end on February 27, 2015 unless a new budget bill is passed.

Executive Actions for Immigration Reform
In a speech to the nation on November 20, 2014, President Obama announced several initiatives to provide relief to the undocumented and to facilitate the hiring and retention of skilled workers. The President laid out a broad outline for administrative reform, with several agency directives. The timing of the implementation of each discrete action will be different, with some taking place very soon and others, particularly those requiring regulatory review, taking several months or longer.
