Phần lớn công việc của người luật sư di trú là chuẩn bị thân chủ cho buổi phỏng vấn xin thẻ xanh. Hầu hết phỏng vấn là giữa vợ chồng.

Khi quý vị bảo lãnh vợ/ chồng để xin thẻ xanh, quý vị phải chứng minh cho nhân viên USCIS thấy hôn nhân là sự thật và không phải là trốn tránh luật di trú. Practical information in Preparing for a Spousal Interview for Your Adjustment of Status (Green Card).

A large percentage of immigration work for immigration attorneys is preparing clients for their adjustment of status (green card) interviews. Most are interviews between a husband and wife.

When you sponsor a spouse for U.S. permanent residence (green card), you must demonstrate to an USCIS official that your marriage was entered in good faith and not for the purpose of evading immigration law. You must provide sufficient proofs, and go through an interview at a USCIS office where you will answer questions in front of a District Adjudication Officer (DAO) about your marriage and life together.
